According to the letters dated 12.11.2019 and numbered E.83690 from the Higher Education Council's Department of Education and Teaching, due to the minimum study period of 5 years (10 semesters) for Veterinary Faculties (excluding preparatory classes), based on the provision in Article 16 (2) of the Graduate Education and Teaching Regulation published in the Official Gazette dated 20.04.2016 and numbered 29690, "excluding preparatory classes, those who complete a ten-semester undergraduate education are considered to have a master's degree." starting from 01.01.2018, the diplomas of our students who graduated will be issued as "Those who have successfully completed the five-year Veterinary Medicine education ......................., have the right to obtain the title of Veterinarian with a master's degree, benefiting from the rights and authorities granted by the laws." However, for students who graduated from our Faculty between 20.04.2016 and 31.12.2017, it has been decided to rearrange their diplomas by adding the phrase "with a master's degree" upon their requests through petitions submitted to our Dean's Office. In this process, if the graduates who have received their diplomas submit their petitions indicating their graduation date and school number along with their old diplomas to our Dean's Office, their new diplomas will be arranged. For graduates who have not yet received their diplomas, it will be sufficient to apply only with a petition. The validity of the existing diplomas of graduates who do not request the reissuance of their diplomas will continue.
